Project Description
The era of Industry 4.0, with its blend of technology and society, has led to increased psychological stress, contributing to a rise in mental health disorders. The COVID-19 pandemic also directly contributed to a notable rise in mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress (Nochaiwong et al., 2021). WHO states that in 2019 as many as 970 million globally live with anxiety and depression (WHO, 2022). In Indonesia, there are 27.26 million individuals affected, making it one of the top 5 disease burdens (Global Health Exchange, 2017; Riskesdas, 2018). Good mental health is crucial for social functioning and meeting basic needs, and its absence can hinder productivity and societal contributions (WHO, 2001; WHO, 2022).
A Wellness Resort offers tourists a comprehensive wellness package, including retreat programs, medication, meals, accommodations, and recreational activities (Meikassandra et al., 2020). These facilities, aimed at enhancing users’ mental health, encompass rooms, spa, yoga, fitness center, meditation areas, spiritual centers, educational spaces, pet facilities, health units, and various outdoor activities such as skybridges, amphitheaters, seating areas, cultural stages, viewpoints, and outdoor fitness facilities (Smith & Puczko, 2013; Smith & Puczko, 2017).
