Project Description
The decline in economic growth is one of the current global issues, marked by the decline of various economic sectors, namely the agricultural sector and the plantation sector. Batu City is one of the cities that has a lot of potential, such as agricultural and plantations. Based on this potential, the Batu City Government is trying to make Batu City an Agropolitan City. The efforts of the Batu City Government are to develop villages in Batu City into touriest villages, such as Sumberejo Village. Sumberejo Village has the potential of a garden and the scenery can be a tourist value. However, there are problems in Sumberejo Village are lack of education about vegetable processing systems and lack of waste treatment. To response the problems, the design raises education-based tourism villages. The design response is implements tourism village-based on education. The design applies a sustainable approach with a design called ‘Link Bridge’ as a space for interaction and connection for visitors, applying the concept of a stage so as not to interfere with the activities of farmers. On the other hand, this design also has several facilities, such as green houses, sewage treatment, dry vegetable treatment, lodging, cafes and restaurants.
